District of Columbia Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DC DAR) Deep Dive Dinner

On 15 March, the District of Columbia Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DCDAR) hosted their second Deep Dive Dinner at their Chapter House.   The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism across the United States. Today, there are 18 chapters in the District engaged in activities across these three mission areas, with a strong focus on serving active duty soldiers and veterans.

Dave provided DC DAR members with an update on the construction of the first warship ever named for the District, our engagement with the Crew, and our Commissioning Committee efforts.  Dave closed his remarks asking for help from DC DAR members to get the word out to Washingtonians about this incredibly capable submarine named for their hometown before taking questions.
